A Haitian violinist who combines orchestral performance with music teaching.
A Haitian violinist, Jeffry Bellabe combines orchestral performance with music teaching. Trained at the Marmelade Music School, where he began learning the violin in 2016, he also deepened his knowledge of music reading and theory there. From 2017 to 2024, he furthered his training at the National Summer Music Camp, through workshops in instrumental technique, pedagogy and conducting, as well as orchestra sessions with members of the Utah Symphony.
He began teaching in 2019 at the Marmelade Music School, then at the Lov’art Music School in Gonaïves. From 2024 to 2026, he taught bowed string instruments and music theory at the Sainte-Trinité Music School. At the same time, he has played in the first violin section of the Orchestre philharmonique Sainte-Trinité since 2020. In March 2026, he also became head of teaching at the Centre musical Libr’art.
At the Sildor Foundation Music School, Jeffry puts this artistic and teaching experience to work for violin students. In doing so, he helps train a new generation of musicians and make music a space for learning, expression and personal growth.
