Executive director – Corail
Born in Corail, Exandieu Merlette completed his primary studies there before attending secondary school in Anse-à-Veau. He then studied law in Gonaïves, followed by education at CREFI in Port-au-Prince. After training at the École de la magistrature, he was appointed justice of the peace of Corail in 2018.
Exandieu takes part in many aspects of his commune’s life. He teaches, sits on the security council and the management committee of Saint-Pierre Hospital, and contributes to drafting the communal development plan. He also chairs the board of the Université de technologie d’Haïti, Corail branch.
At the Sildor Foundation, he leads the executive direction of activities in Corail. Attentive to the most vulnerable, he finds in this role another way to act for a commune dear to him and for the young people building their future there.
